Hey Cuties, it’s Tiffany.
.
Tomorrow I’m hosting my first webinar, and I’m nervous about it.
.
Not about the actual hosting. I’m pretty good at emceeing things. I’m nervous that I’m not qualified enough to be giving the webinar in the first place.
.
A few weeks ago, I had the idea to make a workbook to help parents set boundaries with their kids at home. It caught the attention of Lori Dodson, and suddenly we were planning a whole webinar and followup workshops! And it’s exciting!
.
But as I’ve been planning, the impostor syndrome has kicked in. That I’m not perfect at setting boundaries. That I only know what it’s like to parent a four-year-old. That there will be questions I can’t answer.
.
That I won’t be able to provide value to our guests.
.
Before letting this get me down, I reminded myself to keep perspective. These feelings are the exact reason I want to help support other parents.
.
We all feel like we’re not equipped enough to do the things our life asks of us. We’re all scrambling in the dark looking for someone who is more knowledgeable to be our mentor.
.
Understanding that that these needs exist in all of us is my inspiration and motivation to do this webinar. Because it’s not about what I DON’T know. It’s about what I DO have to offer.
.
I don’t have to be perfect to provide value. All I have to do is be willing to speak my experience to others in hopes they’ll get something out of it, and admit when I don’t know the answer to a question. It’s a both/and.
.
So tomorrow (12/15/20) at noon MDT, I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned about boundary setting as a parent with Lori. And it’s going to be exactly what it needs to be.
.
